Surfer Roosters and Christmas Ribbon

A couple days ago, I was driving with the boys on the highway when I heard a high pitch scream. I was certain that someone was being murdered in the back seat. Fortunately, that was not the case. Rather it was my two boys fighting over a (pause as I try to stop laughing) a toy rooster on a surfboard from McDonald's. My younger son (YS) had brought it in the car. My older son (OS) also had the opportunity to bring his own surfer rooster (yes we have two of them), but chose not to do so. Instead he waited until I was going 65 mph to reach over and grab the rooster away from YS. The screaming from both of them continued (I'm not sure why OS was screaming since he had the prized possession) until I threatened to pull over and take it away from them.

We've definitely entered into the start of the never ending sibling fighting. OS tries to get creative with his "sharing". This involves him taking away a toy from YS and giving him another toy. When he's mad, he'll take all of the toys and give YS the dog's toys.

Today they were fighting over another toy. All of the sudden I had a brilliant realization; we had two of that particular toy. I found the duplicate one and gave it to the toyless screaming child. No, it didn't work. They both wanted the original one. I can't win.

Also, could someone please tell me why it is that my two boys who have tons of great toys would rather play with a container of Christmas ribbon and unravel it all over the room? Wait, maybe I know the answer to this: because they're trying to drive me crazy!

After driving through 7 states we've got extras of those surfing birds. I'll send them to you!

How did we deal with twin boys and toys? We would get two of alot of things.

ha ha... just when I think I want another child I read something like this! Ah yes, I have many fond memories of fighting with my sister in the back of the car over the STUPIDEST things.

It's crazy! My boys fight over breathing the same air! I'm just hoping this too will pass...
