Dear Younger Son (YS),
I love you very much. I have to admit that even up to a few months ago, I had hoped that you would take after your older brother and wait to walk until you were 16 months old. However, I hoped that because I forgot that a majority of your brother's crawling was during the fall when he wore pants instead of shorts. At the tender age of 11 months you are a pro at crawling. You're quick and can carry an amazing amount of items along with you. However, because it's the summer, you tend to be in shorts. Also, because it's summer, our beloved dog is bringing in a ton of dirt. As such, you are literally airing out our dirty secrets to the world. Right on your cute chubby little knees is the evidence that my floors need to be washed way more often than they are. While I could wash the floor more often, you and I both know that won't happen. In the meantime, I am stuck continuing to wash your knees before we go out in public. Life would be a lot easier if, maybe, just maybe (I can't believe I'm saying this) you could consider walking.
Love, Mommy

My inlaws had that burber stuff in their old house, and when my older son was crawling, he would turn BLACK. They freaked out and had their carpet cleaned because they didnt want to think that they had a dirty home or whatever. Well, he turned black again on the clean carpet! I think they had it cleaned again if I remember right, but it was funny to watch them squirm.
