The Recorder

I was hoping to post last night, but I was just too tired. Yeah, I know what mom isn't tired? My younger son (YS) just got his first tooth. It's only partially through. He kept waking up which meant that my husband and I kept waking up. Sometimes my older son (OS) would also wake up. We all finally got to sleep in the wee hours. I was peacefully asleep when all of the sudden I was awoken by a horrible screech and a flash of OS holding something red. Then I heard the horrible screech again followed by another flash (this time the baby was also crying). When I finally got my bearings, I realized that the horrible screech was OS playing a red recorder and leaping over my bed and around the room. I would just like to say "thank you" to the extended family who gave OS this wonderful gift. I would have personally called you, but I was just too damn tired.
